Our Position on Standards

BnH Farms believes credibility is earned through proof. We do not claim certification, export status, organic status, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, RSPO, ISO or GlobalG.A.P. status unless a valid certificate exists. What we do have is a genuine documentation roadmap: farm maps in development, harvest records being built, fermentation and drying logs being formalised, land-use records in progress, and the structured management discipline that makes future certification achievable.

EUDR: What It Means and What BnH Farms Is Doing

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires that cocoa and other commodities entering European markets be sourced from land that was not deforested after December 2020. It requires suppliers to provide geolocation data for farm plots, land-use records, and traceable supply chain documentation. BnH Farms is actively preparing these records. Buyers with European market obligations are encouraged to contact the team early, as EUDR documentation needs to be built over time and confirmed before any supply relationship is formalised.

Cocoa Certification Roadmap

Standard Current Status Why It Matters for Buyers
EUDR readiness Land-use and traceability records actively being prepared. Required for cocoa entering European markets. BnH Farms is building geolocation data, land records and batch traceability to meet this requirement.

Rainforest Alliance Future pathway under active review. Increasingly required by sustainability-focused chocolate makers and sourcing programmes globally.
Fairtrade / FLOCERT Future pathway under review. Relevant for ethical sourcing buyers and premium market positioning.
Organic certification To be pursued if practices and market demand align. Supports premium positioning when genuinely achieved with full evidence.
