Sheep Farming

Overview

In Cameroon’s East Region, our pilot sheep farm is laying the foundation for a new chapter in sustainable livestock farming. Here, we’re raising a carefully chosen herd of 100 ewes and 4 Balami rams—a breed renowned for its resilience and quality meat. This initiative is more than just a farm; it’s our commitment to preserving and promoting Cameroon’s agricultural heritage. Each animal thrives under our care, benefiting from the region’s rich pastures and our dedication to environmentally friendly practices, resulting in livestock of exceptional health and vitality.

Farming and Husbandry Practices

Our Balami sheep are raised in a natural, stress-free environment that prioritizes their health and comfort. From spacious grazing areas to organic, nutrient-rich feed, we ensure our sheep grow naturally and sustainably. Our farming practices include rotational grazing to preserve soil quality, natural health supplements, and meticulous care for each ewe and ram. This approach supports robust growth, enhancing the meat quality and welfare of our animals. Interested in the details of our methods?
